Ash Gourd Dessert Recipe

Ash Gourd is a winter fruit which belongs to Pumpkin family. it is given many names like winter melon, white gourd,  Chinese gourd and petha etc. it is low in calories and high in fiber.  it is best for diabetic people.  in winter, it is a natural treatment of cold flu etc. Ash gourd fruit is round shaped, waxy and resembles to water melon. you may Use Ash Gourd in different recipes like me . Here I will share Ash Gourd Dessert recipe, it is very easy and quick recipe i present this dish as a sweet item to my guest and their positive reviews compelled me to share with you my recipe.

Ingredients:

Ash gourd 1 kg or 1 piece

water 1 cup

cardamom 2 to 3 pieces

sugar half cup or according to your taste

almond 3 to 4 pieces.

Easy and Quick recipe of Ash Gourd Dessert:

Wash the Ash gourd .

Take a sharp knife and remove the hard shucks

from fruit.

Remove the seeds and cut into pieces like this.

Cooking.

Take a sauce pan

Add water and Ash Gourd pieces.

Add cardamom, sugar, and oil.

Cook it on middle heat for 10 to 15 minutes

When it becomes soft  dry the remaining water.

Switch off the heat

Take out in serving bowl or plate.

Garnish with crushed almonds.

Serve to your loved ones and enjoy a healthy dish. we call this dessert  pethy ka Halwa.
